Track Chair

Dylan Lesselyoung of Lennox, South Dakota, was injured in a vehicle accident in 2013 when he was 18 years old.

Initially paralyzed from the neck down, Dylan is now able to move his right shoulder and use his right arm with limitations.

Dylan reached out to American Mobility Project for help getting a track chair and he took delivery of his device in spring of 2021.  This chair enables Dylan to easily access the outdoors to enjoy fishing, hunting, lawn mowing and all kinds of adventures.  Thanks to our donors across the country, we were able to call Dylan on Christmas Eve and let him know his request was granted.

Dylan runs a Facebook group called “Wheelchair Adventures.”  He enjoys providing inspiration and information for wheelchair users. With his Wheelchair Adventures group, he hopes to help people with disabilities get outside to enjoy all beautiful South Dakota has to offer.  We’re proud to see Dylan's interest in helping others.  We love getting pictures and video of Dylan enjoying is track chair.
