Meet Carlos

Freedom Concepts Bicycle

Mobility Changes Lives. Donate Today.

Carlos is a bright, joyful, and determined young boy who brings light and laughter wherever he goes. Born in January 2021, he joined the Watson family in May of that year and has been deeply loved ever since by his parents, Jarod and Kelly, and his two big sisters, Kaidence and Kali.

Diagnosed with Dystonic Cerebral Palsy as an infant, Carlos has faced significant medical and developmental challenges with extraordinary resilience. He navigates the world using a wheelchair and gait trainer and communicates through an AAC eye gaze device. Despite the hurdles, Carlos greets each day with a radiant smile and an adventurous spirit.

Curious and intelligent, Carlos enjoys learning through flash cards and already knows how to spell his name, count, and even do basic math—quite an accomplishment for a four-year-old! He’s also a thrill-seeker at heart who loves bouncing in his dad’s old truck, caring for animals on the family farm, and exploring new places.

One of Carlos’ most unforgettable moments was riding a Freedom Concepts bike for the first time during an intensive therapy session—an experience that left him beaming with pride and joy. He still loves watching videos of that special day.

Carlos is full of personality—mischievous, affectionate, and always ready to be the center of attention. But above all, he is a cherished and treasured child whose life is a beautiful testament to perseverance, love, and faith.

American Mobility Project is excited to announce that Carlos has received a grant for his very own Freedom Concepts custom bicycle! Carlos will be riding in style later on this summer.
