Meet Phaedra

In August of 2020, American Mobility Project’s Board of Directors met with Phaedra to share with her their desire for her to be a foundation recipient of an iBOT Personal Mobility Device. Needless to say, she was overjoyed, as were her children, Josh and Zoie.

Phaedra A. Creed has been proactively involved with Mothers Against Drunk Driving for over 20 years after she was hit by a drunk driver leaving her paralyzed and spending the rest of her life in wheelchair. Phaedra’s passion is assisting victims of this violent crime, working with underage drinking prevention and working with law enforcement programs. Phaedra is the MADD Tennessee State Programs Director.

Phaedra has shared her dramatic story with her sense of humor and her optimistic personality to a multitude of high schools, civic organizations and even NFL football teams, by turning her tragedy into triumph.

Phaedra served as Ms. Wheelchair USA 2010-2011 and her story has been printed in several magazines and numerous other articles featured nationwide. Phaedra is expected to travel to New Hampshire for training and to pick up her iBOT in the Fall of 2020. Welcome, Phaedra, to the AMP family!
