Tom Rumsey
Board Member
Tom Rumsey joined American Mobility Project Board of Directors in 2023.
As the Senior Vice President of Sustainability and External Affairs at Competitive Power Adventures, Tom is responsible for all Environmental, Social, and Governance efforts, including regulatory affairs, government relations, energy market coordination and corporate communications.
Prior to CPV, Tom was the SVP of External Affairs at the New York Independent System Operator (NYISO). Prior to joining the NYISO, Tom was an executive with General Electric beginning in 2001 joining as part of their Junior Officer Leadership Program leading their acquisition and corporate communications.
Tom retired as a LTC from the U.S. Army with over two decades of leadership experience. His career began as an Air Cavalry Officer and culminated in a final deployment attached to 3rd Special Forces Group as part of a Combined Special Operations Task Force in Bagram, Afghanistan.
He is an alumni of Harvard Business School and has earned a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Maryland, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Aeronautical Studies from the University of North Dakota.
Tom and his wife, Holly, reside in North Carolina. The couple has three children, Jennifer, Joshua and Jacob.
